The Perfect Shot!

How do you know when you have the perfect LinkedIn photo? Do you torment yourself over which photo to choose?  Change it often or just never think about it again?  According to a study published in the journal Psychological Science, different pictures of the same person produce radically different impressions.  Apparently it takes only 100 milliseconds to judge a face.  And apparently, those snap judgments are pretty much right…like 9 out of 10 traits were guessed accurately.  Things like personality, competence, and likeability.  So here are some tips: next time you choose a photo make sure your shoulders aren’t too high (#1), you’re forehead isn’t wrinkled (#2) and use the one that makes you look happy and relaxed (#3).  And if you still can't decide...you can always ask a friend!
